So beautifully written, I thought I was there too, and it made me think I’d like to go to a temple and take part next year, I’ve never done that. The kids just run around chucking the means and I cast a glance around for the vac.
I learned a lot from it too, you surely know your festivals woman.

What if all the inspiration, all the creativity, all the blessings you need are available to you in this very moment, if you would but open your hands to receive? What would you do differently today?

I believe it is, all of it is just waiting to be received, but most days I don’t do anything differently I think I subconsciously think ‘ Oh I’ll receive it tomorrow…’

As always, your posts are excellent. I think your writing is wonderful. As someone else had mentioned one time, I too, enjoy the photos. I’ll have to find out what your sources are (if you are revealing !). The color and illustration really jazz up the whole experience of reading! As for snow, it’s fun though to have a few inches of snow in the city when it is a rare event; it’s a big deal here too, as you know having lived in this part of the world, just north of the border from us!

Your post made me want to sketch the little demons running around. I would have been looking for them too, but your beautiful words reminded me to look up instead, hold out my hand and look for the wonders in the everyday blessings. “Demons Out, Blessings In” indeed!

Laurie…Laurie (Echo), Laurie (Echo)…your name is reverberating in my heart and your writing is so beautiful and simple and elegant, all at the same time. I too wrote of the experience of perfection and I can relate. I am also touched by the discovery of the “beginning again with each new moment” in meditation. I know that experience and I delight in your connection to “over, and over and over we begin.” From the perspective of the wise heart beginning anew again each moment is a joy…thank you for writing to yourself and to us and to the “creativity gods!” through your wise heart. I have checked the boxes for notification of new posts and follow up comments. I choose to experience “Creativity in Exile” and I am curious to read what will next be expressed!

Hi, thanks for your email today! I love your blog. I’m only sorry that your posting is so scanty, and I hope you post more. I don’t know much about meditation, and I am certainly no perfectionist (motherhood put paid to all that!), but I really resonated with this post.

I also find it interesting and significant that as a person who professes to be bad at starting new ventures, your actual life requires you to do just that, in many lands and locations.
